The Institute of
Pharmacy is one of the teaching departments of Pt. Ravishankar
Shukla University; Raipur was established in year 2001, with
the prior approval of AICTE with the B. Pharm intake of 60
students.
In the year 2004, the Institute has turn out to be Approved
Research Center and has Started Ph. D Programme under the
Faculty of Technology (Pharmacy).
From Session 2006-07
institution have started Masters in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics- 12
Seats) by way of fulfilling the norms of AICTE regarding Qualified
Staff, Sophisticated Instrument Laboratory and other necessary
Infrastructure.
The department always attempts to
develop skills and professional aptitude by maintaining high level
educational standards, implementation of advanced technology and
expertise. In this context, the Local Organizing Committee time to
time organizes the Guest Lectures, Seminars, Workshops and
Conferences. Staff Development Programme and Short-Term Training
Programme cell is enormously active to organize the SDPs and STTPs.
Extra Curricular Activities, Quiz, Sports, Annual Gathering, Cultural
Programme are also being arranged regularly for the overall
development of students.
Now the institution is well known as a premier institution in the
field of Pharmacy Education and research in Chhattisgarh and India.
Alumni are well placed in various pharmaceutical companies, government
organizations like research laboratories, etc., and in several
well-known academic institutions.
